lemonade for winter

With temperatures plummeting to ridiculous lows--with the wind chill, I've seen it go down to -38--all I can think of is the refreshing smell of spring, warm summer nights and curtains blowing softly in the breeze. And all I want to wear is short skirts, flowy tops and sun hats.

But just the thought of even wearing stockings with a skirts and braving this barren wasteland we, for some reason, call home makes me shiver. So, I turned to Polyvore to help me fight these winter blues, and maybe begin my summer shopping list a little early.

bored? make a bracelet

These tabs have been open on my iPad for months now. It's time I find some scraps of leather and embroidery thread and get creative.
I especially love the bow bracelet. It would make a great personalized bridesmaid's gift.

If you miss those colourful friendship bracelet, but are worried they may come as little too childish, check this out for an embellished, edgier version.

let your imagination run wild

I love this coats from Little Goodall. What a great way to stimulate a kid's imagination (and their parents', too!). This is the kind of gift that a kid will never want to take offall you girls that had a princess dress for Halloween when you were little, you know where I'm coming from

Little bitty babies are quickly becoming a growing trend in my circle of friends. While their daughters and sons are still a couple of years off to wear these whimsical coats, I'm seriously considering buying a one or two for those inevitable birthday parties.

Visit the Little Goodall etsy shop here.

white antler love

I'm loving Sarah Seven's bridal gowns and dresses. The materials are delicate, feminine and simply lovely—it's all in the details. Kinda makes a girl want to get married all over again!

mark your calendar

I love finding original gifts for friends and family. With Christmas fast approaching, I'm very excited to check out souk @ sat, a bazaar in a loft setting where 60 Montreal artists and designers get together to sell their creations.

You can find stylish and original gifts and encourage local artists all in one place! I love it!

souk @ sat will be held November 30 to December 2 at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) at 1201 boulevard Saint-Laurent. Check out their website for artists, hours and more.

happy huesday - fall colours

Completely surrounded by all the beautiful colours this season has to offer,  it's only natural that this happy huesday would be all about fall fashion. After all, Mother Nature knows best.

This season is all about nubby materials, heavy textures and rich, warm colours. It's like curling up near a crackling fire for your clothes. What better way to keep snug?

Stick to a palette of cognac, khaki green, mustard yellow, deep red, rust, burnt orange in heavier, chunkier fabrics such as leather and wool for a cozy and fashionable look. Mix rich textures with everyday staples and you can't go wrong.

mint & yellow makes mellow

Since I bought these mint-coloured pants, I have been obsessed with the colour!Mint clothes, mint shoes, mint polish, mint furniture – I love all of it. It'sversatile and contradictory; a touch vintage, but refreshing, vividyet soothing. And it pairs up well with so many colours. My fave combinationright now: mint and yellow.

happy huesday

Feminine, luxurious, romantic, with a dash of vintage delicacy, Tiffany Blue requires no grand introduction; for many it is synonymous with elegance. It draws the eye without being garish and, thanks to its famous name, subtly states the wearer's taste for the richer things in life. And though she never fashioned the Tiffany Blue hue, I can't help but think of the casual elegance and enviable innocence of one Holly Golighty. So sit back with a cup of tea, and perhaps a macaron, and settle in to the lap of luxury for a few blissful minutes.

loving...

Seafolly swimwear. I'm newly obsessed with this Australian brand. I don't know if this fashion-forward swimwear has been available in Canada for very long, but considering my eternal search for the bathing suit, I'd like to think not - I can't possibly be that oblivious.

Maybe it's this season's line, but a cute little red polka-dot bikini caught my attention from the back of the store. I knew before I had even walked in that I had stumbled upon something (beach) life altering! Seafolly - what a name, the name alone was enough - it brings to mind the feel of the sun, the sound of crashing waves, the smell of salt in the air and all the fun to be had on a scorching summer day at the beach!

Behind the name, there are fantastic bikinis and one-pieces to be found! Oh yes, I said one-piece. In my experience, most one-pieces are a little.. how to say... mom-ish? And I'm not talking about 30-something moms, I'm talking about your mom and my mom. (No offense, mom).

Finally, cute, modern one-pieces and comfortable bikinis for me!!! Bikini shopping has been a burden on my summer vacations that I haven't been able to avoid since I turned 12 and got boobs. Not only does Seafolly have an eclectic array of styles, bold patterns and saturated brights, but eye-catching style that even the coolest fashionista would covet.

Flattering and fashionable, Seafolly has sizes for fuller cups without sacrificing style. Tops and bottoms are sold separately, and tops are sized by cup and band size; so no matter your shape, you can find several comfy, cute options. At the prices they charge though, that's a bit of a curse! Swimwear for all tastes are offered, from leopard print for the sexy vixens to floral patterns for the more feminine or polka dots for the retro gals out there.

So yes, the prices are a little steep, but worth it if you have a hard time finding bathing suit. Go ahead, check out their website, I dare you not to find one you love! The pin-up, coquettish styles are right up my alley - I have my eye on this little striped number.
