Maybe I'm a little late here, but I'm loving this ombre/balayage thing that's been going on. I love the "sun-kissed" ends! I've been rocking my natural hair colour for a while now (you can say I had ombre hair for the past 2 years as I grew my blond streaks out) and I kind of like it, but it's missing some pop. The ombre style offers everything I've been looking for: a low-maintenance, laid-back, natural-looking change. With summer coming up, it's the perfect time to switch to a more fitting hair style. The appointment has been booked and I can't wait (I haven't set foot in a hair salon since August!! Just a trim would've been a blessing.)
As I anxiously await Friday, I've been browsing the many different styles and colours out there. Some colours are way to contrasting (ahem, Drew Barrymore). The lighter shade needs to be close to the natural one and the transition between the two should be soft and muted.
