you've got a way

As a teenager, I didn't have cable, which means I didn't get MTV, MuchMusic or Music Plus. It was pretty brutal to be in high school and not get to watch all the awesome new videos. Really, it was the minimum you needed to get through those angsty years. What I got instead? What came with basic TV sat, you ask?

I, my friends, had all-you-can-watch CMT - Country Music Television.

I actually got pretty hooked. It's fine to admit that today, mistake admitting it in high school. I actually discovered some really great songs. Please Remember Me by Tim McGraw, The Way You Love Me by Faith Hill, Love, Pain, the Whole Damn Thing by Amy Sky and, of course, we can't forget about Shania.
Secret Garden meets True Blood fairies

You've Got a Way, the song from the Notting Hill soundtrack is good, but I've always been completely enamoured of the music video. I think it might have the most romantic, enchanting and magical imagery of any video.
The dress is not at all my style, but there something absolutely beautiful about it.
I love everything about it! The picturesque backdrop, Shania's fairylike flower dress, the soft colours. It's like a dream. I had forgotten until just the other day, when I saw Hugh Grant in Love Actually (great movie!), and was randomly reminded of Notting Hill - which he also stars in. I YouTubed the video and fell in love all over again. Long story short (short being used very loosely), I thought I would share.
Total hair envy, then and now
